Mission Statement Forward The Sanitary Board of Bluefield (SBB) was established in 1936 to finance, construct, operate and maintain a sewerage system in designated areas of Tazewell County Virginia and Mercer County West Virginia in and around the City of Bluefield, West Virginia. The SBB sewerage system includes over 350 miles of sewer lines, 19 sanitary lift stations and two wastewater treatment plants. The SBB treats an average of 3.5 Million Gallons of wastewater a day and serves over 8,500 customers.
